These two bears were drinking at the Khutzeymateen estuary on a cool afternoon in late May.
We had been watching quietly from a zodiac the silence broken only by the occasional breath of wind. There was no drama, no urgency — just two beings, at ease with one another.
I wanted to capture that simple, weightless moment of presence — where the bears were entirely themselves.
